Q. What does 'MyChecklist' do?

A. MyChecklist was designed to guide users who need to follow a series of instructions. These checklists can be created for both simple and very complex tasks.

 

Checklists can be extremely specific, tailored just to your situation - these would be 'local' or they can be of a much more general nature and may well be 'global.
 

Q. What are templates and what are checklists?

A. Checklists are derived from templates. So someone who has a process they wish people to follow will create a template which has all the steps they wish people to follow to achieve a task.

 

These steps are either simple reminders to do something or questions which require Yes or No answers or maybe links to documents eg. word documents, PDFs, presentations, spreadsheets, web pages etc.
 

Q. Why wouldn't I just use a paper checklist?

A. MyChecklist always knows where you are within the checklist and because it resides on the Internet is available on tablets and smartphones so can be used away from the office.

 

We all know how easy it is for paper checklists to get out of date and you can't link to a document on your office system from a paper checklist.

 

Q. What are Global templates for?

A. Global templates can be used as the basis of a checklist by any registered user.

 

So if you are an organisation which offers a service or sells a product and you would like to steer your users to use that product or service in the correct manner - then why not create a global template.

 

Then tell them where to find 'MyChecklist' and the name of your template and you should see a significant reduction in the number of 'how do I...' support calls.
 

Q. How many checklists can be created from 1 template?

A. As many as you like - there is no limit to the number and if you start a checklist and mark a stage as complete in error - well just restart it.
 

Q. How long are my checklists kept?

A. We keep them on the system for 2 years
 

Q. What if I think there may be something missing from a checklist?

A. Alongside each template there are some notes and hopefully everyone who creates a template will put some contact information there so that you can get in touch.
 

Q. How much does 'My Checklist' cost?

A. For a registered user (who wants to use Global templates) there is no charge.

A. No - it merely starts at the beginning of the checklist.
